At the Jam Music Company we offer a full repair service on Guitars and other similar Instruments. We also do some amplifier and electronic repair.   If you have an old instrument in need of some Tender Loving Care, please drop it in and we will get you up and ruing again in no time.  

Repair/Service Price List

RE-STRING
€1 per string plus the price of the strings. (You can watch for free so you will know how next time!)

SETUPS
Setup: €40 not including price of strings (new strings are generally essential unless it is an electric bass although these sometimes need changing too).
Instruments setup: Electric, steel string, classical, 12-string, basses

Setups include truss rod and intonation adjustment, Adjusting the action by altering the bridge and nut height as necessary, cleaning and polishing frets and fretboard, tightening loose hardware, spraying and cleaning of electronics, pickup height adjustment, cleaning instrument. All setups are customised to meet the customers requirements.

Any additional work needed such as fret levelling or replacing a nut is priced on a per job basis. If we need to grind down one fret it will cost an extra €10 on top of the setup fee.
Any parts required in a setup are not included in the price. We will call you first if the setup is going to cost more than €40 to get your approval on replacing any parts or doing additional work.

Basic Floyd Rose set ups cost €50 euro. If you require a different string gauge than the guitar is currently set for €60 is the standard price.

We generally turn around basic repairs and set ups in 2 to 3 days but feel free to call us if you have a gig in half an hour. Pit stops are a regular occurance and emergencies are let jump the queue.

ELECTRONICS
Pickup installation and replacement: €30 and up depending on the job.

Repairs: e.g. pot/jack replacements, full rewires, custom wiring: €30 and up

FRETWORK

Fret Cleaning €20.  Fret Dressing (removes minor indentations) €80.  Full refret from €160.

STRUCTURAL
All Structural Repairs are judged on a one off basis. Certain jobs such as split necks and broken headstocks are welcome but they take longer to price. €80 and up.

OTHER SERVICES
Hardware and tuner upgrades, cleaning and restoration. Small things like collapsed input jacks cost €5 and up.
